Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews have offered fans a fresh look inside their ambitious London home transformation, sharing a video on Instagram that reveals the ongoing construction work at their new property. The Irish presenter and former Made In Chelsea star purchased the sprawling period residence following the sale of their previous £4.25 million Battersea apartment in June 2025. Currently residing in temporary rental accommodation alongside their four children, the high-profile couple is roughly midway through an extensive 18-month renovation project designed to turn the house into their long-term family home.
In the newly released social media footage, Spencer can be seen walking through the central hallway toward the rear of the historic property as Vogue pans the camera across what is currently a gutted shell of a house. Narrating the tour, Vogue told her followers that they were visiting the construction site to check on the progress. Remarking on the scale of the undertaking, she noted that the space was looking good despite the heavy construction, while acknowledging that there was still an immense amount of work left to complete.
External views from the property show the sheer magnitude of the project, with builders operating a heavy digger in the expansive back garden. The machinery is currently being used to excavate and clear the grounds in preparation for what appears to be a substantial rear extension featuring a lower-level basement area. When Vogue initially shared a walkthrough of the unrenovated house last December, the property retained a wealth of charming period features, including traditional fireplaces, intricate cornicing, and decorative ceiling roses. During that earlier tour, she also highlighted the potential of the large garden, noting plans to clear away a significant amount of overgrown shrubbery to install a broad lawn suitable for their children to play on.
The milestone construction update comes shortly after Vogue candidly discussed the mounting pressures of managing a large family, simultaneous relocations, and a major property overhaul. Juggling a busy professional life alongside domestic responsibilities, Vogue recently joked on her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, that she and her husband should logically hate each other given the stressful circumstances they have navigated over recent months.
The couple, whose romance began after they met while participating on the reality sports television show The Jump in 2017, married in June 2018. They share four young children: Theodore, eight, Gigi, six, Otto, four, and their youngest addition, newborn Remy Valentine. Despite the logistical chaos of moving multiple times and overseeing an intensive structural renovation while raising a young family, Vogue took a rare moment during her podcast to publicly acknowledge their resilience. She admitted to feeling genuinely proud of how she and Spencer have handled the turbulence, noting that against all odds, they still genuinely like and love each other deeply despite the intense pressure.
The domestic update also follows recent remarks made by Spencer during an appearance on Katherine Ryan’s podcast, What’s My Age Again?, where he candidly discussed the dynamics of their affection. Spencer shared his perspective that he often feels he loves Vogue more than she loves him, explaining that he tends to be much more outward and explicit with his expressions of love and admiration. He added that while he wears his heart on his sleeve, his wife occasionally makes spontaneous remarks that catch him entirely by surprise and bring him immense happiness.
When the podcast episode aired, Vogue admitted she immediately forwarded the segment to her husband, jokingly exasperated by the public commentary it might provoke. Anticipating public headlines suggesting she was only with him for financial reasons, she ribbed Spencer about airing their dynamic publicly. However, she balanced the lighthearted teasing with a thoughtful reflection on relationship dynamics, pointing out that in most partnerships, one person naturally loves a little bit more than the other at any given time, and that her deep affection for Spencer surpasses any love she has felt for anyone else in her life.
Spencer, meanwhile, recalled a tender moment of rare praise from his wife following the hospital birth of their fourth child, Remy Valentine. To celebrate the arrival and mark the completion of their immediate family plans, Spencer had sourced a bottle of Vogue’s favorite champagne, which they enjoyed with visiting friends. In the glow of the post-birth atmosphere, Spencer noted that Vogue departed from her usual habit of withholding overt praise and offered him deeply touching compliments, specifically highlighting his exceptional qualities as a father.
While Spencer joked that Vogue generally avoids showering him with endless admiration out of a playful fear that his ego is already sufficiently inflated, he expressed genuine appreciation for her recognition of his parenting efforts. Reflecting on the overall state of their marriage, Spencer acknowledged that while their relationship is far from a fairy tale and encounters normal ups and downs like any other married couple, he considers himself exceptionally fortunate to share his life with Vogue.
In addition to their ongoing London transformation project, the family also maintains a residence in Howth, Dublin, which they acquired in late 2023. However, the family continues to divide a significant portion of their time between Ireland and the British capital as they oversee the final phases of their London forever home.
