Savannah Chrisley and Jason Galanis Secretly Married in July Ahead of Pregnancy Reveal

Reality television star Savannah Chrisley and her fiancé, Jason Galanis, tied the knot in a secret ceremony this past July, more than three months before publicly revealing that they are expecting their first child together.

The marriage was officially confirmed through public marriage records, revealing that the couple exchanged vows on July 14 at the Cayman Islands Baptist Church. The nuptials followed a courtship that began in July of the previous year. According to public disclosures and statements made by Chrisley, the pair had previously become engaged last December during a trip to the Cayman Islands. Galanis presented the 29-year-old reality star with a custom, oval-cut diamond ring that he designed in collaboration with the St. Louis-based jewelry store Genovese Jewelers.

The news of the marriage and pregnancy comes amidst considerable public attention surrounding Galanis’s background. Federal authorities previously identified Galanis as a convicted felon who was sentenced in September 2020 to more than 15 years in prison. The sentencing followed his guilty plea to orchestrating two major financial fraud operations, one of which targeted a Native American tribe and investors out of millions of dollars. As part of the federal sentence, Galanis was ordered to forfeit more than $80 million, surrender properties in Los Angeles and New York, and pay extensive restitution.

Furthermore, Galanis previously worked as a business associate of Hunter Biden. While still in federal custody in March 2024, Galanis provided testimony to a Republican-led congressional impeachment probe examining former President Joe Biden. However, the trajectory of Galanis’s legal status shifted significantly when President Donald Trump commuted his sentence in March 2025. This commutation occurred just months before President Trump also issued executive pardons for Savannah’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who had been convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022.

When the identity of her fiancé became public knowledge shortly after her pregnancy announcement, Chrisley swiftly addressed the situation. Rather than engaging directly with the media storm surrounding Galanis’s past, she turned to Instagram to share a brief clip of her sonogram, firmly declaring to her followers that her unborn child is "innocent."

The relationship has also drawn public commentary from Savannah’s father, Todd Chrisley. Speaking candidly on the podcast Dumb Blonde, Todd addressed the significant 27-year age gap between his daughter and her 56-year-old husband.

"He’s 20 years older, and it was not something I embraced because, I mean, to the point that I had a choice to make," Todd explained during the podcast episode. "It was either embrace my daughter’s decision or lose my daughter, and nothing is ever coming between me and my daughter. I love Savannah with my heart and soul, but did I advocate for this? No, but I will tell you that he has treated her with the utmost respect."

The legal battles and subsequent political pardons connecting the Chrisley family and Galanis trace back to federal cases that unfolded over several years. Prosecutors initially asserted that Todd and Julie Chrisley had acquired millions of dollars in bank loans through fraudulent documentation while simultaneously hiding income to evade tax obligations. In May of the previous year, President Trump publicly remarked that the Chrisleys had experienced harsh treatment during their prosecution. Savannah, who delivered a prominent speech endorsing Donald Trump at the 2024 Republican National Convention, attributed her parents’ eventual relief to the administration recognizing corruption within their judicial proceedings. "I didn’t have to do anything other than stand firm in my beliefs and my convictions and fight for my parents," she stated at the time regarding her political advocacy.

Addressing the substantial age difference and her relationship with Galanis on her own podcast, Unlocked, Savannah defended her choice of partner with conviction. "I have always said, ‘I would rather [have] 20 phenomenal, unbelievable years with someone than 50 just [fine] years,’" she told her listeners. "It’s just such an amazing, fulfilling feeling to finally find your person. And I’m there. So yes, the age difference. So what?"

Chrisley described Galanis as her best friend, emphasizing that they share mutual love and respect and handle daily life as a team. As they prepared for the arrival of their first child, she noted that their shared aspirations cemented her confidence in the relationship. "We have so many dreams… together, we work together… we want to have life experiences with each other," Savannah said. "And I think that’s when you know you have the right person, when you don’t feel like you have to escape them at times."

Reflecting on the months leading up to their pregnancy announcement, Savannah characterized her romance with Galanis as a dream experience free of typical relationship turbulence. "Our relationship as a whole has been absolutely amazing," she said on her podcast. "It has been the dream relationship that any woman could hope to be in. There hasn’t been drama and chaos and dysfunction. There has been absolutely none of that."
