When Reagan and Jon set out to plan their wedding day, they envisioned an atmosphere that was deeply intentional, profoundly personal, and entirely reflective of their shared lives. Every single element, from the hand-thrifting of fabrics to the meticulously curated musical backdrop, was designed to foster connection and joy among their nearest and dearest. Set against an aesthetic defined by earthy elegance and organic charm, the celebration unfolded as a masterclass in personalized event design, seamlessly blending rustic textures with refined details.
Food & Drink
At the heart of the celebration’s culinary experience was a commitment to inclusivity, driven by the couple’s personal lives. Because both Reagan and Jon happen to be celiac, ensuring a completely safe dining environment was paramount. Rather than treating dietary restrictions as a logistical hurdle, the couple embraced it as a defining feature of the menu, making the entire spread feel like a natural extension of who they are—truly a match made in gluten-free heaven.
Lucca Woodfired rolled up to the venue with a mobile wood-fired oven for the day, serving a vibrant lineup of artisanal pizzas. The menu featured crowd-pleasers like Margherita, Prosciutto, BBQ Chicken, Salsiccia, Fungo, and Pepperoni. Demonstrating their dedication to accommodating every guest safely, the culinary team prepared a full dozen gluten-free pies right alongside the traditional offerings.
The beverage program kept the good times flowing seamlessly from daylight into the evening hours. Guests were welcomed upon arrival with refreshing pours of Borrasca Brut Cava and spa water, setting a relaxed and celebratory tone. As the afternoon progressed, a lively margarita station opened up to kick off the cocktail hour. To round out the offerings, two bespoke signature cocktails were crafted especially for the day: the bourbon-forward Paper Plane and the espresso-kissed Carajillo. These custom drinks gave attendees a literal taste of something created exclusively in honor of Reagan and Jon.
Florals & Decor
The visual landscape of the wedding was brought to life by Lily Roden Floral Studio, which successfully translated Reagan’s distinct garden vision into reality. White and yellow cosmos, delicate chamomile, and romantic white roses were artfully woven through loose, organic greenery. This deliberate design choice gave every floral arrangement that freeform, just-picked-from-the-garden feel the bride had been dreaming of from the very beginning of the planning process.
Beyond the stunning blooms, every little detail carried the earthy-elegant thread through the entire day. Collaborating with Ventura Rentals and Luxe Linens, the couple grounded the aesthetic with botanical wood tables, stylish rattan chairs, and soft ivory linens. The resulting environment felt effortlessly chic yet profoundly intentional.
Guests entered the venue through an entry gate strung with a ribbon-hung lace sign declaring that "the celebration awaits." Upon arrival, they were greeted at a white Luxe Linen, linen-draped table featuring a large Welcome Sign, while parasols were conveniently leaned in a basket nearby for any shade-seekers looking to beat the sun.
As the afternoon shifted into the evening reception, a striking mirror seating chart stood front and center. It was thoughtfully framed by a basket of disposable cameras, a nod to the reality that some moments are simply better captured in candid, unscripted snapshots. Personal touches extended all the way to the individual place settings, where Polaroid-style name cards were nestled comfortably into ivory cheesecloth runners. Complementary linen table numbers and custom printed menus rounded out the cohesive ivory-on-wood color palette.
Every element of the design was backed by hands-on effort. Wanting the wedding to feel intensely personal down to the very last detail, the bride rolled up her sleeves and got creative. She spent countless weekends thrifting vintage linen and lace fabrics before breaking out her Cricut machine and sewing machine to handcraft personalized signage herself. This labor of love turned every individual sign into a small piece of the day that felt entirely, unmistakably theirs.
Among these handmade and deeply personal elements, the place cards emerged as a standout favorite of the evening. The couple printed out a Polaroid photograph of themselves with each individual guest, capturing memories from throughout the years. These ranged from newborn photos to college throwbacks, ensuring that every single seat at the table came equipped with its own unique piece of shared history. Watching guests swap photos, trade stories, and laugh over old memories together ended up being one of the most heartwarming and special highlights of the entire night.
Wedding Cake
When it came time for dessert, the couple turned to Crushed Cakes, a beloved Santa Barbara local spot and a longtime Gaucho favorite. Given the bakery’s exceptional gluten-free options, they were the most natural fit imaginable for Reagan and Jon’s celiac-friendly celebration.
The couple opted for a cake that was delightfully simple and sweet: a one-tier, six-inch round vanilla cake made entirely gluten-free. It was finished cleanly with smooth white icing, a charming vintage frosting topper, and the phrase "just married" inscribed in elegant black cursive script.
To ensure that every single attendee could partake in the wedding sweets regardless of dietary restrictions, the cake was accompanied by a generous spread of 65 regular mini cupcakes alongside 35 gluten-free and vegan mini cupcakes in assorted flavors. This thoughtful provision guaranteed that dietary restrictions and all, every guest got a taste of something sweet to cap off the meal.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
Music provided the emotional soundtrack for every phase of the celebration, perfectly capturing the mood from the initial processional to the final dance of the night.
The ceremony processional began with the groom and wedding party making their entrance to "True Love" by Durand Jones & The Indications. This was followed by the bride’s walk down the aisle, set to the timeless tones of "Angel" by Jack Johnson. As the newly married couple recessed back up the aisle, the speakers filled with the joyful sounds of "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer.
The evening reception kicked into high gear with a high-energy grand entrance soundtracked by "Midnight City" by M83. Reagan and Jon took to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple to "Forever You and Me" by The Teskey Brothers.
Special family dances followed, honoring the important bonds of the day. The mother-son dance was set to Van Morrison’s classic "Crazy Love," while the mother-daughter dance featured the sentimental lyrics of "Never Grow Up (Taylor’s Version)" by Taylor Swift. Later in the evening, the traditional cake cutting moment was underscored by Fleetwood Mac’s uplifting track "Everywhere."
As the night drew to a close, all the guests were summoned to the dance floor for one final collective moment. The celebration officially concluded with an energetic, joyous send-off soundtracked by Whitney Houston’s iconic anthem, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody."
