Nigo and J-Hope Team Up on Nike Air Force 1

The upcoming project represents the next chapter in Nigo’s ongoing collaborative journey with Nike, merging his legendary streetwear heritage with the global phenomenon of K-pop and contemporary youth culture. The collaboration is tied directly to Nigo’s ongoing Air Force 1 World Tour, an initiative designed to honor his decades-long influence across fashion, music, and global youth culture while introducing the timeless sneaker silhouette to a fresh generation of innovators and tastemakers.

Nigo, reflecting on the partnership and the choice to bring in the BTS member, emphasized the profound cultural impact of the collaboration. "J-Hope is one of the few people who can become a true ambassador for culture and help carry it forward to the next generation," Nigo noted.

For j-hope, the partnership is a chance to merge personal artistic expression with meticulous footwear design. The BTS star expressed deep admiration for Nigo’s aesthetic choices and attention to detail. "I really like the harmony of the enamel material color that Nigo expressed," j-hope said. "And the special shoelace details that I haven’t seen often bring out the charm of the sneakers even more."

The collaborative sneaker design itself is a vivid reflection of both creators’ distinct styles and vibrant energies. The Nike x Nigo x j-hope Air Force 1 features a striking upper crafted from a glossy burnt sunrise and metallic gold leather, accented by pops of chlorine blue. The design is further elevated with signature squirrel graphics, a playful and dynamic touch that directly embodies j-hope’s well-known energetic spirit on and off the stage. The resulting silhouette is deeply personal to both collaborators, blending sportswear heritage with avant-garde streetwear sensibilities in a way that is expected to resonate with and inspire a new wave of artists and designers around the globe.

According to Nike Inc., the release schedule for the highly anticipated collection begins with an exclusive drop on Oct. 27 at Humanmade.jp. This will be followed by a global launch on Oct. 22 on the SNKRS platform and at select retail partners worldwide, giving global fans and sneaker enthusiasts an opportunity to secure the limited-edition pair.

This creative union builds upon the foundation of Nigo’s broader Air Force 1 World Tour, which officially began in May. That multi-season journey kicked off with the debut of an exclusive style of the classic silhouette inspired by Nigo and his longtime Nike partner Jun Takahashi’s influential magazine column, LO2, dating back to the early 1990s. By bridging eras, subcultures, and distinct creative disciplines, the partnership between Nike, Nigo, and j-hope continues to push the boundaries of modern sneaker design and cultural storytelling.
